COVID-19 ("coronavirus")

Updated: Apr 22, 2020

To Our NA Prep Families,

With growing global concerns around COVID-19 ("coronavirus"), I wanted to provide you with an update on our response to date. The health, safety, and well-being of players, parents, coaches, referees, and all other guests of NA Prep's development weekends, summer camps, and spring teams are a top priority.

At this time, we are following the lead of Alberta Health Services and other US public health authorities but currently stand committed to running our events as planned for 2020.

First and foremost, I want to assure all players and families that we are proactive in this situation. We are taking all appropriate measures to ensure the facilities we operate out of are safe and have protocols in place to ensure that they stay this way. Although many players attend our events, they remain predominantly regional; in nature.

For those players that are involved in the spring hockey program, summer camps, please be reassured that you will receive NA Prep credit for any program closures or cancelations that may occur.

Furthermore, the demographic of attendees at our events are by in large under the age of 70 and are not part of vital service lines such as medical professionals, which are the current stipulations given by health officials for events that should be postponed or canceled.

While the Public Health Agencies have assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus as low, we will continue to monitor for developments very closely. We encourage all teams to stay up-to-date through our website and Instagram channel for any immediate changes that may occur.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Sincerely,

Jami James - Director of NA Prep
